‘Party on the inside’ John O’Connor catches the 7th Dhipirri Metrey of 2022
John O’Connor’s first visit to Dhipirri sees him land the 7th Metre Barra caught at the Lodge in 2022!

Fishing with Dhipirri Guide Chris Doukas, John’s 100cm Dhipirri Barra was caught in the Milingimbi Islands.
“Gee I felt good on the inside once it measured a metre.
It was a big hit, a close run thing with the Barra going under the boat but I guess I got lucky.”
John’s Dhipirri Barra measured right on 100cm and it brought the tally of anglers joining Dhipirri’s Metre Barra Club to seven for the season but it wasn’t the last as the final touring group of 2022 netted three in three days!
