Banana overload in the Dhipirri Garden!

An abundance of Dhipirri Bananas means it’s baking time!

It’s baking day at Dhipirri Lodge as Chef Kylee went to town on our Dhipirri Bananas which all seem to have gone ripe at once.

“Today I collected our bountiful supply of ripened Dhipirri Bananas to make Banana Bread which is always a hit on the boats during a big day’s fishing,” Kylee said.

“So I went to town – baking Banana and Pecan Muffins, Banana Bread, Banana Choc Chip Muffins and cake… oh and Banana Ice Cream.

YUM YUM YUM YUM

But the work doesn’t stop there… it’s Dhipirri Garden makeover time.

We showed you the Dhipirri Chilli crop recently and now John and Kylee have given the garden plot a makeover – planting alongside our Chillis and Bananas a whole array of new potential delights.

“We have been busy putting fertiliser on our lawn and mulching the vege garden this week. And adding to our Chillis and Bananas – we’ve planted Zucchini, Beans, Silverbeet, Corn, Sunflowers, Nasturtium, Coriander, Basil, Dill, Thyme, Lemongrass, Finger Limes, Pineapple, Parsley, Ceylon Spinach and Kankong… so fingers crossed we get a few crops from this batch.”
