Getting to Dhipirri Lodge in Arnhem Land

The adventure of getting from where you live to Dhipirri Lodge is half the fun isn’t it?

Getting to Dhipirri

One thing to keep in mind when you are coming to Arnhem Land is that it is remote… really remote. But that’s just another reason why the fishing here is so special.

Dhipirri is located 350km north east of Darwin – approximately 1 1/2-2 hours by light aircraft – near the mouth of the Glyde River and has its own landing strip.

Milingimbi to the north west (via boat) and Ramingining to the south west (via boat) are the two closest local communities if you are looking for Dhipirri on google maps.

Clients make arrangements to fly into Darwin and our Dhipirri staff will assist in organising charter flights across a number of operators to fly from Darwin to Milingimbi or Maningrida (then on to the Lodge) or directly the Lodge. It is possible to fly into Darwin on a commercial flight at lunchtime, and be enjoying Dhipirri Lodge later that afternoon.

For more information on how to get to Dhipirri please contact our friendly office team via info@dhipirribarra.com.au, call +61 8 89 833 722 or fill out the Booking Form.

We are the only guided fishing charter company that has exclusive rights to operate in this particular area, as we have approval from the local traditional owners allowing us access to the Glyde and Woolen Rivers, plus nearby coastal reefs and islands.
