The Location

The Location

Dhipirri Barra & Sportfishing Lodge is located in Arnhem Land, approximately 350 kilometres north-east of Darwin, in the Northern Territory of Australia.

The Lodge itself is located right on the Arnhem Land coastline, with our purpose built boat ramp only a short tractor drive from the boat garage.

Milingimbi and Ramingining are the nearest local communities, and we maintain a close relationship with the Traditional Owners.

If you are after Pricing and Available Dates, the best way to gain access to this information is to please fill out the contact form so we can get back to you direct about the makeup of your trip.

Where to find us

In 2013, owners Darren and Sharon Nickolls secured approval from the local traditional owners to allow clients access to the Glyde and Woolen Rivers, plus nearby coastal reefs and islands.

So how do you actually get to Dhipirri?

Clients make arrangements to fly into Darwin and our Dhipirri staff will assist in organising charter flights (across a number of operators) to fly from Darwin to the Lodge’s private airstrip (commercial flights from Darwin via Milingimbi and Maningrida can also be arranged).

Meaning it is possible to fly into Darwin on a commercial flight at lunchtime, and be enjoying Dhipirri Lodge later that afternoon.

All you need to know is here in our FAQs.

For more information on how to get to Dhipirri please contact our friendly office team via info@dhipirribarra.com.au, call +618 8983 3722 or fill out the Booking Form.

Dhipirri is the only guided fishing charter lodge that has exclusive rights to operate in this particular area, which ensures a truly remote and private fishing experience that differentiates Dhipirri from other fishing locations.

The beachfront position of the Lodge offers direct access to the water and short travel times to a vast range of fishing options from rivers and estuaries to flats and reef fishing.
